SWINGIN' IN THE SQUARE, 2019
July 4 and August 1, 7-9pm
Join the Swing Dance Association as they swing, jive, and boogie in Centennial Square! Beginners’
lesson followed by a social dance. Swingin’ in the Square kicks off its 2019 run with the first of two
outdoor evening swing dances on July 4!
July 4 Swingin' in the Square will feature music by DJ Dave and DJ Spencer, a free beginner
lesson by Kevin and Christabel Savage of Red Hot Swing, and a performance by Seaside
August 1 Swingin' in the Square will feature music by DJ Andrew and DJ Liana and a free beginner lesson from Dave and Catie of the Swing Dance Association of Victoria, and a performance by Swing Y Jam Crew.
All ages, bodies, and abilities are welcome, and no partner or previous dance experience is
necessary. Everyone is welcome to come dance and listen to music!
Beginner Lesson: 7-7:30pm
Music & Dancing: 7:30-9pm
Special Performance: 8:15pm
