October 2020 Newsletter

Hello dance fans!
Thank you to everyone who attended the First Novel Tea Dance and the 2020 Annual General Meeting.
We have had a change on the SDAV Board. Thank you to Alison McLeod for all her years of commitment to the Swing Dance Association of Victoria. And now we welcome our newest board member, Shannon Perkins Carr, as Treasurer.

For our next Novel Tea Dance we turn our attention to the 1930’s and the BIG APPLE. Join us on SATURDAY 17th OCTOBER at 11:00AM with special guests Simon and Anna Selmon as our ring leaders. Back by popular demand, they bring their joyful and knowledgeable brand of teaching for us all to enjoy. UK stalwarts Simon and Anna certainly know their Rusty Dusty from their Stomps and are eager to be (boogie) back. So dust off those computer monitors, plug in your webcam and most importantly put on your dancing shoes.
Zoom Link opens at 10:30, Introductions at 10:45, and Class Starts at 11:00. Admission is by donation, and nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds. The Zoom link will sent out via our newsletter, posted on our website, and on our facebook event page prior to the event.

As always, please consider a membership - it’s $12 for a year - and your support goes towards building the swing dance community. You can now buy your membership online.
Stay in touch with us! We’ve got this email list, a website, and we’re on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and Instagram too. We’d love to hear from you, too.
